Excellent for removing chemical vapours with a good transpiration rate which is ideal for air circulation.
These are popular trees for planting in the indoor environment however, they do not like being moved around.
Provided it is happy, the fig is a superb air purifier. Leaf drop is common until it adjusts to its new environment. Older leaves naturally drop in the winter. Once acclimatised to it's environment it should thrive for years.

Care and Maintenance
Keep soil moist but never soggy. Feed every two weeks during the summer. The fig is happy in a pot so not necessary to repot provided it is fed correctly.

Pests and Problems
Roots can rot if overwatered. Scale insects and mealy bugs.
