The rubber plant is relatively tough and is exceptional at removing chemical vapours from the air. Provided with the right conditions, it can grow to 2.5m tall and can tolerate low light and cool conditions.

Care and Maintenance
Feed regularly during the summer months only. Water regularly from mid summer to autumn allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings; then water sparingly. The rubber tree does not tolerate overwatering.
Grows well in soil.

Semi-sun to semi-shade
Temperature
16 to 27 degrees celsius. Will tolerate temperatures down to 5 degrees celsius for short periods.
Pests and Problems
In very dry environments susceptible to attacks by scale insects, spider mites and thrips.
