How it works

All plants increase indoor oxygen levels as all plants produce oxygen as a by-product of photosynthesis. What many people do not realise is that airflow to the roots is just as important.

1. Air helps keep the roots healthy, your plant is alive and does need to breathe. Healthy plants produces more oxygen.

2. Oxygen within air is needed by the microbes in the soil around the roots of the plant. It is these microbes that digest the pollutants which are absorbed by the plant and transferred to the roots by a process called translocation.

3. Improved airflow to the roots dramatically reduces the possibility of waterlogged soil which causes root rot - a very common problem for house plants.

Our breathe plant pot allows your plant to breathe in 3 dimensions by allowing air to move passively around the whole of the root ball.
