Excellent for removing chemical vapours with a high transpiration rate which is ideal for air circulation and humidity control. This is a top performer.


Also known as the yellow palm or butterfly palm, the areca palm is one of the best air purifiers. It is very comfortable living indoors, releases lots of moisture into the air (great for combating dry air from air conditioning or heating during the winter) and is excellent at removing all indoor toxins tested. It can also remove salt accumulations to its branches causing selected branches to die whilst maintaining overall health of the plant.





Care and Maintenance

Keep the root ball damp, feed with a complete fertiliser on a regular basis, except in winter. Mist regularly to ensure it presents at its best and to discourage pests.

A good loam based potting mix is needed for potted containers.
